My asus rt-n12 router keeps blinking the power light. i power cycled it (unplugged for 60 seconds and plugged it back in) because my internet was kind of slow to see what was up.. Even, when the router is not connected wirelessly, it still blinks because the router is repeatedly transmitting the data. sometimes, due to some glitch, you may face this issue too. outdated firmware could be the main reason for that. here are some of the possible ways how to solve asus router power light blinking issue. troubleshoot asus. Asus n56u flashing power light. archive view return to standard view. last updated – left it 5 minutes and have come back and noticed that the power light is slowly flashing and there is not internet light and the lan port i had plugged in is still flashing on the computer and the router.. Every time i get it into recovery mode and the power led light flashes slowly. when i attempt the upload, stops flashing and goes solid. after the upload is over, there is a fail upload router on.
