Dns problems with asus router. ask question. in response to comments, i've tried reconfiguring the dns settings on the router and am now working on keeping it cooler. it's working right now, but i'm not holding my breath. it even stopped broadcasting the wifi signal entirely today, so i'm now fairly sure it's a hardware problem.. 4. under wan dns setting, enter 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222 into "dns server 1 and dns server 2 respectively. 5. confirm that your lan dns server is not set. do not configure opendns here! 6. check your settings. [nb. we have received reports that this router now includes an inbuilt security function called "aiprotection - network. If you have an asus router with firmware 3.0.0.4.220 you can now use its embedded ddns client to update your no-ip hostname. by doing this you will no longer need to run our dynamic update client (duc) on a local computer because the router will now be acting as the update client..
I just can't access the controller from outside my network. i have not changed anything on the router settings nor the central hearing controller settings. the router is an asus rt-n66u, and the dns update client is within the router.. Rog strix geforce
